HMF Shows Its Own Critical Communications Innovations at PMRExpo
At PMRExpo 2023, HMF Smart Solutions presented its own brand-new MCX solution – “made in Germany” – as one of the highlights.
This broadband communication solution developed by HMF offers so-called Mission Critical Services (MCX) in accordance with the 3GPP standard – which will be trend-setting in the field of mission-critical and business-critical communication. At PMRExpo, the HMF team will be presenting its own development to the public for the first time.
5G dimensions of HMF
HMF’s 5G system solutions offer almost unlimited application possibilities and can be customised for specific industries. With the 5G Smart Box, HMF is presenting a complete, compact private 5G (campus) solution at the exhibition. Indoor or outdoor? Both are possible. Flexibility? Of course. Pre-existing networks based on other technologies can be integrated or efficiently combined to suit the respective area of application.

TETRA – the next decade
The ACCESSNET®-T IP TETRA system from HMF combines all the strengths of mission-critical voice and data communication and is “ready for the next decade”. HMF’s Smart Services make the TETRA network future-proof in an intelligent, secure and efficient way. At PMRExpo, the TETRA specialists will be showing several examples of how the optimisation potential can be fully exploited.
Visitors can find out about operational network planning using innovative tools for coverage verification and analysing traffic loads. Regarding network monitoring and management, HMF will be showing examples of network resource control and intuitive, modular network administration. Maximum flexibility is offered using web clients, which enable network access from anywhere, as well as comprehensive data analysis and real-time network capacity management. The security of the TETRA system is the top priority. Multi-level security services optimise security through system and process hardening, threat analysis and adapted access levels, among other things.
PT890Ex und PT590 – Latest TETRA radio devices
At PMRExpo, HMF Smart Solutions will be showcasing the latest TETRA radios from its portfolio. With the PT590 handheld radio, trade fair visitors will get to know the first TETRA radio in its class that supports voice control and has a universal USB Type-C connection. The PT590 also impresses with its outstanding audio quality, excellent radio coverage and innovative safety functions. The PT590 takes TETRA communication to a new level. The intrinsically safe PT890Ex from Hytera is brand new on the market for particularly harsh environments – powerful, secure and robust at the highest level.
HMF at the PMRExpo summit
Security of 5G campus networks, 5G in object radio, interoperability of various KRITIS radio technologies: The HMF experts will be represented at the PMRExpo summit with a variety of topics. Bernhard Klinger, Chief Strategy Officer at HMF and Chairman of the PMeV Board, will kick off the trade fair on Tuesday, 28 November at 11 a.m. with a keynote speech on the topic of “Digitalisation and secure, high-availability communication“.
