New facility showcases innovations in public safety and enterprise security technology.
Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) unveiled its new Experience Center in Berlin showcasing its robust technology portfolio spanning mission-critical communications, video security & access control, and command center solutions powered by artificial intelligence. Highlights include the new LTE-enabled V500 body camera solution that enables first responders to stream live video and location from the field, as well as the Connected Vehicle that provides unique insights into the emergency response car of the future.
U.S. Ambassador to Germany, Dr. Amy Gutmann, and the governing mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, celebrated the new Center at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin and welcomed Motorola Solutions’ commitment to supporting local innovation. In her opening remarks, Ambassador Gutmann highlighted the need for reliable technology partners as a foundation for achieving digital transformation across sectors, particularly in public safety and enterprise security.
“The opening of the new Motorola Solutions Experience Center here in Berlin marks a step forward in the company's commitment in Germany,” Gutmann said. “It is symbolic of the collaborative partnership between the United States and Germany. Germany is the United States' largest European trading partner, and the U.S. is Germany’s largest export market. Our trade and investment relationship is extensive and mutually beneficial.”
"Everyone who lives in Berlin should feel safe,” said Wegner. “That is why we, as the Berlin Senate, are equipping our police, fire and rescue services in the best possible way. In times of complex challenges and, unfortunately, increasing violence against emergency services, technologies such as body cameras play a crucial role in protecting first responders and citizens."
“Motorola Solutions opened its first office in Germany in 1968, and today has 200 highly skilled employees in the country, primarily in Berlin,” said Axel Kukuk, country manager Germany and regional sales lead for Southern & Central Europe, Nordics & the Baltics, Motorola Solutions. “We are working closely with our customers and partners to build and connect technologies that help them solve crucial challenges and improve the safety of their frontline teams.”
