pei tel Communications GmbH showcased its latest innovations and groundbreaking solutions at PMRExpo 2024, setting new standards for critical communication technologies. The event, held from November 26 to 28 in Cologne, addressed the growing demands of the critical communication sector.

Among the highlights of pei tel’s presentation was the PTFireCom communication solution, tailored to meet the specific needs of firefighting teams during operations. For the first time, the full-duplex communication system enabled clear interaction between breathing apparatus wearers without relying on hand signals or loud calls, significantly enhancing both safety and efficiency. Attendees had the opportunity to experience live demonstrations of the system.

"As a key player in the PMR industry, we support our partners with proven solutions, expert advice, and forward-looking technologies, contributing to enhanced safety and efficiency while saving lives in critical moments,"

said Peter Stroetmann, Managing Director of pei tel Communications GmbH.

Steven Hilgemann, Category Manager for PMR at pei tel and Chair of the newly formed working group "Secure Emergency Communication in Crisis Situations" within the PMeV industry association, delivered a keynote in the expo's Connecting Area. He addressed the challenges of modern emergency communication, emphasizing the importance of cross-sector interoperability during crises such as floods and natural disasters.

"Our solution sets new benchmarks for seamless communication between emergency services, municipal facilities, transport providers, and utility companies," Hilgemann explained. "When every second counts, every connection matters."

In addition, pei tel unveiled the Motorola Orchestrate software in collaboration with their video technology partner, erdkreis CCTV/IP-VIDEO GmbH. Orchestrate offers enhanced operational coordination by integrating existing technologies through simple expansions. With its automated analysis capabilities, the software alleviates the workload of security personnel and boosts responsiveness in critical scenarios.

pei tel also presented the upgraded PTIntercom system, designed for special-purpose vehicles. The integration of a digital signal processor (DSP) ensures interference-free communication. The system's flexibility makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use by emergency services, fire brigades, police, and transport companies.

A Comprehensive Portfolio with a Forward-Thinking Approach

The exhibition also featured a broad range of pei tel’s proprietary products, including microphones, handsets, speakers, and audio accessories. The company’s category managers, together with their teams, introduced new applications and solutions that reflect the evolving landscape of crisis and emergency communication.

"The future of crisis and emergency communication lies in flexible solutions that seamlessly connect various actors in each scenario," Stroetmann emphasized. "As part of our international expansion, we were delighted to introduce representatives dedicated to our Dutch and Belgian customers this year. To support this, we recently established a new subsidiary in Tilburg, ensuring close proximity to the local market."

Through its innovative technologies and customer-centric approach, pei tel reaffirmed its commitment to shaping the future of critical communications.
