Norwegian Government plans to spend nearly 218 Million Euro for nationwide TETRA Network
The budget proposal is a direct response to the attacks on July 22 in Oslo and on the island Utöya that killed 77 people.
The Norwegian Government will spent in 2102, after the attacks happened in last July, at least 400 million euros extra for police, justice, military and medical emergency services.
This was announced last week Thursday during the announcement of the budget plans for 2012.
The anti-terror plan includes a dedicated research and intelligence service, new equipment for anti-terrorist units, and an extra police helicopter.
Homeland Security gets nearly 7 million euros. This includes sixteen new rescue helicopters for the army and nearly 218 million euros for the introduction of the digital TETRA communication system for emergency services country wide.
