ASTRID increase limits for data use on their TETRA network
With the increase in limits for data communication, ASTRID supports the needs of the end user orgainzations.
From January 2012, with their subscription, the users of the ASTRID TETRA system for Public Safety in Belgium will be able to increase their data usage against no extra cost. With the increase in limits for data communication ASTRID supports the needs of the end user orgainzations. This adjustment relates to the three types of subscriptions: Standard Voice SDS + Manual "," Automatic SDS / AVL 'and' Long Data ".
- Standard Voice + SDS manual is the basic subscription of most radio users. The group comprises unlimited calls and a fixed number of individual calls a fixed number of 24 SDS manual messages per period of 6 hours. From January 2012 this number will be more than doubled and goes to 60 messages per SDS-six hours. Any excess of this number are charged.

- Data is the subscription for the exchange of data files between two computers (I / Mobile for example) on the ASTRID network. The fixed volume is now 200 Kbytes per period of 24 hours. This volume is now kByte/24 1500 hours to better meet current and future needs.
