Combined ARCIA/APCO-A industry seminar in Perth
The Australian Radio Communications Industry Association (ARCIA) has teamed with APCO Australasia to present an industry seminar in Perth in April to open new channels of communication to the radio communications industry and users in Western Australia.
This special opportunity will enable users, suppliers and consultants involved in public safety and government communications networks to receive presentations specifically designed for them and their users.
The seminar will be held at the Pagoda Ballroom in South Perth on the afternoon of Thursday, 10 April, and it will offer an interesting and varied program including:
- opening remarks and overview of APCO Australasia by Des Bahr, Chief Executive Officer of APCO-A;
- a presentation by Rob Hockings, Tait Radio Communications, on ‘Unifying critical communications’;
- a presentation by Jo Hardwick, Tait Radio Communications, on ‘Change Management - how to reduce the risks associated with the introduction of new technologies’;
- a panel discussion on change management featuring local personnel and putting the Western Australian perspective on this complex topic; and
- an overview of ARCIA and closing remarks from Hamish Duff, President of ARCIA.
The seminar will be followed by networking drinks and then a dinner, which will be a great opportunity for industry members to discuss the contents of the seminar; plus there will be a guest speaker who will discuss the situation regarding technical training and how the needs of industry and users might be satisfied in the future.
Both APCO Australasia and ARCIA members are invited to attend and support this new initiative, with a price of only $120 (plus GST) for the full event. Separate pricing is available for either the seminar or dinner functions.
Bookings are available through the ARCIA website (www.arcia.org.au)
