Danish software development company ZONITH, released today its new RTLS (Real-Time Location System) indoor & outdoor positioning solution for Bluetooth/GPS enabled devices via an easy-to-use web interface.

The new Real Time Location System (RTLS) integrates both Bluetooth technology to monitor staff indoors and GPS technology to locate staff outdoors. The solutions can be used throughout any corporate facility and compound ensuring the safety of employees, fast emergency response, panic alerting, entrance/exit control, critical area protection and intelligent lone worker solutions.

Positioning

Real Time Location System locates employees indoors using any always discoverable Bluetooth device, including DMR/TETRA radios, Android phones, WiFi/DECT phones and bluetooth tags. As the device pairs & un-pairs with Bluetooth beacons, the Real Time Location System provides real-time location data.

The Real Time Location System also tracks employees outdoors via their GPS-enabled device. Regularly transmitting current positions via GPS satellites, the Real Time Location System displays a user's current location on Open Street Maps and monitors entry/exit points via customizable geo-fenced zones.

Used with ZONITH Applications

It is also possible to pair the Real Time Location System with ZONITH’s safety applications. When paired, it ensures the response team is given the distressed employees last-known location, thus decreasing response times. In this way, the system allows dispatchers, supervisors and administrators to have up-to-date information on the location of their employees. The Real Time Location System  also helps to better respond to situations. for example, the software automatically sends an alarm or activate ZONITH's Centralize Lone Worker, when workers enter restricted areas. In this way it is possible to ensure employee safety.
