New Tetrapol TPH900 desktop adapter facilitates mobile radio communication in the office
Integration of high-level administrative officers into mission-critical communication structures
Airbus Defence and Space is introducing a desktop solution for its latest Tetrapol terminal TPH900 at the Critical Communications World (CCW) fair in Amsterdam. Police commanders and firefighters who use mission-critical Tetrapol networks can communicate more flexibly with the TPH900 desktop adapter.
By combining secure mobile communication with indispensable administrative functions, the adapter incorporates voice recording, a Push-to-Talk (PTT) button and a USB port to connect a computer. In addition, an external antenna can be attached to the desktop adapter, giving users better transmission in an office situation.
Airbus Defence and Space has developed this new generation of the desktop adapter to better serve commanding officers in the area of public safety. Whether they work in a broadcast vehicle during a football match or in the branch office of a small town, TPH900 users can easily switch from secure communication in the field to the office.
“The adapter renders significant advantages to users who need not only to analyse audio communications, but also other data in different situations,” explains Eric Davalo, Head of Strategy, Solution Portfolio and Engineering of Secure Land Communications at Airbus Defence and Space.
As the TPH900 also offers the mapping app OM100, it is easier for firefighters, police commanders and rescue workers to link existing information with geolocalisation data.
A demo version of the TPH900 desktop adapter will be presented at the Airbus and Defence and Space booth D 42 in hall 8 during the Critical Communication World exhibition in Amsterdam from May 31 to June 2, 2016. The adapter will go on sale this summer.
