On May 25, 2017, Hytera Communication Limited acquired Sepura Group PLC. Through its acquisition of Sepura, Hytera strengthens its position primarily on the European market, also in North America.

SRS also sees a consolidation in the industry where smaller players disappear and those who remain are growing through acquisitions that create both resources, skills and broader market presence which increases market competitiveness
