Zetron’s fifth annual “Shoot for the Stars” golf tournament to benefit the Behind the Badge foundation takes place September 2, 2015, at The Golf Club in Newcastle, WA.

Behind the Badge honors and assists injured and fallen Washington State law-enforcement officers and their families.

Zetron, a mission-critical communications systems provider based in Redmond, WA, will host its fifth annual “Shoot for the Stars” golf tournament to benefit Behind the Badge Foundation Wednesday, September 2, at The Golf Club in Newcastle, WA. Behind the Badge is an organization that honors, supports, and assists Washington State’s injured and fallen law-enforcement officers and their families.

Celebrity golfers for this year’s event include Slick Watts, Jim Zorn, Nesby Glasgow, and Alonzo Mitz. They will be joined by emergency first responders, law-enforcement officers, and public-safety personnel from agencies throughout the state. David Rose, Q13 FOX news anchor and host of Washington's Most Wanted, will again serve as master of ceremonies, as he has done every year since the event’s inception.

Through a combination of event fees, partner-company sponsorships, and matching donations from Zetron, its employees, and Zetron president and CEO, Ellen O’Hara, previous tournaments raised a total of over $61,000 for Behind the Badge. This year’s event is on track to meet or exceed a target of $30,000, which would bring Zetron’s donations to Behind the Badge to over $91,000.

“Zetron’s annual ‘Shoot for the Stars’ benefit for ‘Behind the Badge’ has become one of our most important and meaningful local activities,” said O’Hara. “Each year, the event shines an important light on ‘Behind the Badge.’ But it is also an expression of the culture of giving back Zetron and its employees have created. Whether it’s an event to help an organization such as ‘Behind the Badge,’ or a response to a disaster nearby or in another part of the world, Zetron employees consistently step up and contribute generously when the situation calls for it.”
