Romanian Military Picks Hytera Portable Radios with DMR Technology
Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH together with its partner Mobilis has won a tender from the Defense Ministry and signed a frame agreement to deliver many thousands of PD565 DMR radios including accessories.
Within the next three years, the Romanian Defense Ministry will order up to 8050 handheld radios to be used at various military support points in Romania.
"This is a fabulous shared success. We have worked together with Mobilis for many years and we will continue to build this relationship," says Marco Martinato, VP of Sales for Eastern Europe at Hytera Mobilfunk. "So we are delighted that we were able to convince the Defense Ministry of the quality and great reliability of our Hytera devices. We see great potential for the market in Romania and we want to continue growing."
Marcin Bialczak, Hytera’s Sales Director Central & Eastern Europe, adds: “As Hytera Group we have been present in Romania for many years with a lot of deliveries especially in the field of Public Safety. That is why we are also proud of this further confirmation by the Romanian Army.”
With the Hytera PD565, the Romanian ministry chose a DMR handheld radio with many advantages: Key considerations include its wide functional scope, excellent voice quality and very good price-to- performance ratio.
The PD565 has a compact design and is convenient to operate. Another big plus: The handheld radio supports conventional DMR mode and can also be operated in analog mode. That makes it especially versatile to use.
