Motorola Solutions demonstrates commitment to women in engineering and technology at SWE's WE19 conference

Motorola Solutions, said that the company is committed to advancing the engineering and technology education and expertise of female innovators.Motorola Solutions global Women’s Business Council works closely with members of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the world’s largest advocate and catalyst for change for women in engineering and technology, to create an inclusive, flexible culture that connects and empowers female employees of all levels to grow and maximize their impact. As of 2019, Motorola Solutions has more than 140 employees that belong to SWE.

To continue our commitment, the Motorola Solutions Foundation provided SWE with a $91,000 (USD) grant this year in honor of the company’s 91st anniversary. The gift follows the Foundation’s first-of-its-kind donation of $90,000 USD in 2018 that enabled SWE to launch a global scholarship program that built on decades of stewarding scholarship programs focused primarily in the U.S. Through the Foundation’s annual grant program, Motorola Solutions’ charitable arm also awards a $75,000 grant to support female high school students with educational engineering courses.
