City of Duluth to purchase Motorola Solutions 911 dispatch system

The city of Duluth (Minnesota) will enter into a lease/purchase agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the purchase of a dispatch console system for the Duluth Police Department that will be reimbursed by the Gwinnett 911 Advisory Committee. Courtesy Motorola Solutions, Inc.

Reimbursement is received based on an annual budget request and quarterly submittal of actual expenditures. Budget requests are submitted in July of each year and payment is received in May of the following year, along with a “true-up” for the prior year’s actual expenditures. In the mean time, the city has made an amendment of $160,000 in the FY 2018 Police Dispatch-Machinery budget for these expenditures.
