UK Emergency Services Network Tests Satellite Backhaul Technology

In May this year, the second ESN satellite backhaul test took place in a remote area of Scotland.

The two day test event was held in the Dumfries and Galloway area and was carried out by programme representatives, EE, future users of ESN and witnessed by Programme Director John Black.

Satellite backhaul is a method of relaying communication in remote areas where traditional methods such as fibre, or copper cabling is not possible.
