Teltronic Receives Recognition from Procempa for Support during Floods in Rio Grande do Sul

Teltronic was honored by Procempa with a recognition plaque for the support provided during the floods in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil between April and May 2024. During this critical period, the company partnered with Procempa, providing essential communication solutions to coordinate emergency response operations.

The 2024 floods were one of the largest climatic disasters in the state’s history, affecting over 2.4 million people in 478 municipalities. The impacts were vast, with over 640,000 homes without water, 440,000 customers without electricity, and over 442,000 people displaced. The disaster’s damages were estimated at over 4.6 billion reais.

During this period, Teltronic supported Procempa by providing portable radios and configuring communication terminals for various emergency teams, including Civil Defense, the Federal Highway Police, and the Municipal Guard. This collaboration was essential to maintain communication between the teams, ensuring safety and coordination in rescue operations.

Ricardo Luís Floriani, Director of Teltronic Brazil, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating that Procempa’s recognition reflects Teltronic’s dedication and commitment to the community.

The recognition received from Procempa highlights the importance of effective communication in emergency situations and underscores the crucial role that Teltronic played in helping save lives during one of the most challenging periods for Rio Grande do Sul.
