Tecnotree SDS Centre makes it possible for TETRA terminal users to send text messages across TETRA networks even when the recipient's terminal is not immediately available to receive the message. The system stores the message, forwarding it when the recipient's terminal becomes available.  It also converts messages between SDS and SMS formats so that messages can cross seamlessly between TETRA and GSM networks.

As the number and variety of users on TETRA networks grows, enhanced functionality will become more and more important. Different user groups will undoubtedly have different communication needs and patterns.  The Tecnotree SDS Centre is part of Tecnotree's suite of PMR Messaging solutions, which are designed to support operators in developing tailored TETRA network service offerings.
