Sectra’s security solution with ”crypto on Smart Card” makes it possible to add security to your existing TETRA network. You can keep the TETRA terminal already in use and choose any TETRA brand or vendor you like.
Sectra’s encryption solution ensures eavesdrop-secure conversations and is on a SIM card inserted in TETRA telephones. The crypto functions regardless of TETRA supplier whereby the authorities and the user can select TETRA telephones based on own preferences with retained overall security.
TETRA digital radio technology is a common radio system for agencies involved in public safety, security and health. Sectra has developed this crypto for users of the Swedish public safety network (RAKEL) in close cooperation with the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV).
