Motorola Solutions Australia Raises Funds for Victoria Police's Blue Ribbon Day
More than 40 Motorola Solutions personnel helped raise funds last week for Blue Ribbon Day collecting donations at three of Melbourne’s main railway stations.
Blue Ribbon Day is the annual fundraising event for the Victoria Police Foundation and commemorates police who have died in the line of duty – 166 officers in Victoria.
Motorola Solutions Managing Director, Con Balaskas, said it was an honour to support the event and a cause so closely connected to Motorola Solutions' work.
"Our work in developing mission-critical communications technologies brings us close to our customers, but events like these really highlight the important contribution that first responders make to protect our community. We sincerely value the sacrifice and commitment of all police officers in protecting and serving our community and our employees were delighted to play their part for a valuable cause."
Blue Ribbon Day was Sunday, September 29, 2019, coinciding with National Police Remembrance Day.
