The Municipality of Rotterdam will be using new Sepura SC2020 portable radios be used by law enforcement officers, supervisors, security guards, bridge keepers and forest rangers.

From 1 December 2024, the Municipality of Rotterdam will be using new Sepura SC2020 portable radios to be used by law enforcement officers, supervisors, security guards, bridge keepers and forest rangers.

Last summer, the Municipality of Rotterdam issued a European tender for the replacement of radios that are already in operation by the above-mentioned radio users. These radios are used to communicate via a closed and secure Tetra and critical communications network.

The order includes a contract for the full operational lease of 1,250 Sepura SC2020 radios for the coming years.

On November 21, 2024, the first new Sepura radios were symbolically presented to Mr. Ed Ouwehand; Project Manager THPM Municipality of Rotterdam Communication Systems.

The Sepura SC2020 radios are already used as an extremely reliable means of communication in The Netherlands and are already in use by the Dutch Police, Defense, Dutch Safety Regions and various other municipalities.

The radios will be delivered by Abiom, a Sepura distributor for The Netherlands and Belgium that also operates a certified service & repair center.
