Analysys Mason is recognising the achievements in the emergency services across the UK through its sponsorship of the Emergency Service IT Award, which is to be presented during the Emergency Service Awards ceremony at the Emirates Stadium, London on Thursday, 7 April 2011.

The award will be given to the emergency service organisation that can best demonstrate an effective and innovative use of IT in order to increase service levels or efficiency.

Analysys Mason has an unparalleled track record of working with the emergency services across the UK and is delighted to be an integral part of this event, which is supported and promoted by the British Fire Services Association, the Ambulance Service Network and the Association of Police Authorities.

“The demands on our emergency services to be both effective and innovative have never been higher,” says Duncan Swan, Partner at Analysys Mason and head of the Public Safety consulting division.

“The challenge involved in continually improving service delivery to the public, while also addressing the government’s desire to reduce costs and provide visibility and accountability, is huge. It is a delicate balancing act, which requires dedication and motivation from the teams charged with delivering. Despite these challenges, emergency services across the UK continue to produce best-practice examples across ICT disciplines that are often the envy of the rest of the world.”

Entry for the Emergency Service Awards is open to all police authorities, fire services and ambulance trusts throughout the UK, and is free of charge. The closing date for entries is this Friday, 4 March 2011.
