Motorola Solutions’ leadership in TETRA Digital Radio Solutions recognised at inaugural International TETRA Awards
Motorola Solutions is also very pleased to see that many of its TETRA customers such as Airwave, Hong Kong Police, Oyu Tolgoi Gold Copper Mine, Shanghai 3 and CLP have also been recognised in the International TETRA International Awards.
Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI), a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions was Highly Commended at the first International TETRA Awards on 16th March in the “Best TETRA Product for Enterprise” category with its ultra-rugged MTP850Ex ATEX radio device for hazardous environments. Motorola Solutions was also Highly Commended in the “Green Award” category for its Fuel Cell Solution which has been deployed as a key element in Denmark’s Public Safety TETRA network.
These awards are proof of the high quality, usability, excellence and leadership inherent in Motorola´s TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) solutions. Furthermore, Motorola TETRA customers won a number of awards including: Airwave in the category “Best Use of TETRA in Public Safety”, China Light & Power (CLP) Hong Kong in the category “Best use of TETRA in Private Industry”, Oyu Tolgoi LLC in the category “Best Use of TETRA in Enterprise Industry” and Hong Kong Police in the category “Best TETRA Innovation”.
The International TETRA Awards, a collaboration between the TETRA Critical Communications Association (TCCA) and TETRA Today, were inaugurated this year and presented at a ceremony held at The Savoy hotel in London. The International TETRA Awards are intended to recognise excellence in the field of TETRA radio communications. A panel of highly regarded judges from around the globe reviewed the numerous entries and decided the winners.
