ACMA approval strengthens Axell Wireless’ presence in Australia
ameer Kaul, VP Sales, Asia Pacific, comments, “Axell Wireless has pioneered TETRA repeater technology since the standard was first introduced and we continue to focus on innovation as an enabler for entering new markets all over the world.
Axell Wireless has this month gained approval from The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) for its market leading digital channel selective UHF repeater, helping further strengthen the company’s presence in the Australian market.
ACMA is the government agency responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, the internet, radio communications and telecommunications across the country. ACMA governs access to spectrum as well as enabling the industry to meet the needs of the community for communications services and products. The agency ensures rigorous testing and high standards mean that only high-performing, exceptional quality products gain their approval.
With significant deployments already executed in Australia, such as the recent Clems7 (NSBT) tunnel in Brisbane and the Brisbane Airport Link, this regulatory approval builds on the success Axell Wireless already has in this region. Sameer Kaul, VP Sales, Asia Pacific, comments, “Axell Wireless has pioneered TETRA repeater technology since the standard was first introduced and we continue to focus on innovation as an enabler for entering new markets all over the world. We are proud to further cement our presence in Australia by gaining ACMA approval for our technology.
The D-CSR 3604 digital repeater is designed to support public safety networks and PMR (Professional Mobile Radio) systems such as TETRA, APCO25, and other systems in the UHF band, for security applications either within buildings or critical infrastructure facilities such as metro (underground) networks, rail or road tunnels, airports and energy or chemical plants.
