Rohill TETRA Node successful in South African SCADA trial
After the successful trial Johannesburg City Power is planning to start roll out of modems and will be enhancing its operations with the help of Rohill TetraNode SDS and Packet Data services.

In this respect Rohill TetraNode infrastructure served very well by providing reliable and secure communications to Johannesburg City Power and helped for effectively managing their operations since 2012.
Rohill partner Global Communications, South Africa has been successful in providing high quality services and supporting Johannesburg City Power to maintain and constantly expanding the network.
In addition to initial usage of comprehensive voice capabilities of TetraNode, City Power has started trials with Global Communications to test TETRA data modems from Piciorgros GmbH, Germany on TetraNode network, with the intention of assisting their operations with SCADA applications over TETRA for monitoring substations and controlling street lights.
As Global Communications has successfully demonstrated the solution provided by Rohill and Piciorgros to Johannesburg City Power, it is expected that the solution will be implemented soon.
