Airwave is awarded a Crown Commercial Service Network Services framework agreement
After a competitive procurement process, Airwave has been selected as a supplier of Lot 6, mobile voice and data services for the Crown Commercial Service new Network Services framework (RM1045).
This replaces the existing Public Services Network (PSN) Connectivity and PSN Services frameworks (RM860 and RM1498 respectively).
According to John Lewis, Airwave’s Chief Operating Officer: “We are delighted our bid for Lot 6 has been successful. The Airwave team has done a great job in securing this framework. It creates a fantastic opportunity to talk to our customers about a much richer offering across their mobile communications portfolio.”
The benefits associated with the adoption of a multi-lot framework include having the opportunity to encourage more competition in the marketplace, stimulate and harness innovation, make available a wider range of services, as well as drive down price, procurement and supplier bid costs.
The Network Services agreement is divided into ten lots comprising data access services; local connectivity services; traditional telephony services; inbound telephony services; IP telephony services; mobile voice and data services; paging services; video conferencing services; audio conferencing services; and integrated communications.
The duration of the agreement is two years with the option to extend up to an additional two years.
