On 16 November 2011, RadioComms Connect opens its doors in Melbourne’s Docklands for the fifth consecutive year. 500 delegates and visitors are expected to attend the two-day conference and exhibition to hear over 30 local and international experts take us through a series of case studies, panel sessions and dealer-specific industry presentations.

Virtually every major player operating within the radio space in Australia has a stand at this year’s show, with newcomers including Hytera, Kathrein, Daniels Elctronics, Harris and Barrett Communications joining old favourites such as Sepura, Zetron, Tait, Kenwood and ICOM.

Since its launch in 2007, the event, run in conjunction with ARCIA’s industry gala dinner, has attracted industry professionals and end users looking to keep in touch with developments and to find out what the sector has in store for them - this year will be no different.

With talks on LTE, P25, dPMR, DMR and TETRA, and case studies from mining, oil and gas, aviation and transportation - along with a look at critical communications as they applied to the Christchurch earthquake, the Queensland floods and Cyclone Yasi - there’s an exciting and informative program that will challenge and engage.

Along with the regular P25 and TETRA sessions seen in previous years, DMR content has been stepped up this year in line with it’s growing place in the market, with Monique Princen - Chair, DMR Association Marketing Working Group and Solution Marketing Manager - Tait Radio Communications, heading a 1.5 hour session with updates on Tier 3 standards, a series of case studies of Tier 2 deployments, along with a comparison of DMR and dPMR to close.
