Zonith announces the release of Alarm Control System 2.7.3

We are pleased to announce the release of a new version of the ZONITH product suite. This release, version 2.7.3, is a free upgrade for customers on our support package, and includes important security and stability updates for all ZONITH products

We are pleased to announce the release of a new version of the ZONITH product suite. This release, version 2.7.3, is a free upgrade for customers on our support package, and includes important security and stability updates for all ZONITH products

In response to customer feedback, we have also included several new features to help improve Safety, Security and Situational Awareness within your organisation. The changes are:

ZONITH Alarm Control System - Supported Radio Systems

  • NEW: Support for Polycom DECT portable telephone devices, widely used in hospitality and medical facilities.
  • IMPROVED: TETRA alerts - “Immediate” type SDS now supported

ZONITH Alarm Control System - Core

  • IMPROVED: Safe Area. An alarm is now raised if the Bluetooth server fails (due to network or power problems).
  • IMPROVED: Better handling of responses to alarms with a new “default” action for dealing with misspelt or incorrectly formatted responses.
  • Various minor improvements and bug fixes

Alarm Listeners

  • NEW: Moxa based digital I/O Listener allows the connection of almost any item of digital equipment to the ACS via Ethernet.
  • IMPROVED: Easier configuration for I/O inputs using the ZONITH RTCU (including MODBUS, analogue I/O and digital I/O).
  • IMPROVED: The Command Line Listener now supports remote heartbeats to monitor the status of a connected alarm system.
  • IMPROVED: Heartbeat handling - alerts about the failure of a remote system can now be sent to specific responders by using “competences”.
  • Various minor improvements and bug fixes.

ZONITH Indoor Positioning

  • Various bug fixes

ZONITH recommends that all customers to upgrade to version 2.7.3. All customers with a Support & Software Upgrade subscription can contact their local distributor or ZONITH support at support@zonith.com for details of how to download their free upgrade. Please state your current release number (which can be found in the About page of the ACS) and include your license key when contacting ZONITH support.
