Hytera Releases New Software for DMR Tier II Products
The new software release R7.0, can be implemented to Hytera DMR Tier II radios and repeaters and includes full operation for the new XPT digital trunking system.
On a regularly basis Hytera offers new software releases thereby enhancing current functionality and adding new features to existing products. Software version R7.0 is such a new release for our DMR Tier II products.

Subscribers
- Full operation for new XPT digital trunking system
- Channel switch by entry of the channel number on the keypad (only at devices with full keypad, e.g. PD685, PD785, X1p)
- Channel switch over, programmable to up/down key or channel selector knob (MD785)
- Receiving a new telemetry message can be signalized by a selectable tone
- Transmission of GPS information together with an emergency call
- Amount of possible radio password tries is programmable
- Entries in phone list and RX group list can be made via radio menu (only at devices with full keypad)
Repeater
- RD985s supports new XPT digital trunking system (optional license)
- SIP Phone Dial Rule Mapping
- SIP Phone Call can use both time slots, also when Pseudo Trunking is activated
- Extended access management list from 32 to 64 entries
- Phone time for SIP phone services may be limited (TOT)
- Release of PTT key at radio is signalized to SIP subscriber via tone
To enable XPT and to ensure stable SIP phone operation, both Repeater and radios should be upgraded to R7.0.
Customers can get the entire package including CPS, Documents and Tools, upgrade kits for repeater, subscriber and Tuner software via their local Hytera dealer.
