Leading mobile radio communications brand, Hytera Communications, is the newest partner of Australia’s premier one-make championship, Porsche Carrera Cup Australia; the association commencing this weekend at Bathurst.

Hytera Communications, as the new Official Communications Partner of the Porsche championship, will be the series' Event Partner this weekend and feature on the windscreen banners of all Carrera Cup cars. The Chinese brand will then continue as a Series Partner for the Gold Coast season finale and the entire 2017 season.

As part of the partnership, Hytera radios will be provided to all Carrera Cup teams for the 2017 season as part of their participation in the championship; the move ensuring all Carrera Cup teams utilise industry leading radio technology throughout every on-track session.

Trackside support of the partnership between Carrera Cup and Hytera Communications will be provided by Gearhouse Broadcast Australia, which also manages the communications for the Supercars Championship’s racing and event management teams.

Porsche Cars Australia Motorsport Manager, Kurt Sakzewski, is thrilled to have Hytera Communications on board in a partnership that will ultimately improve the Carrera Cup experience for its participants.

“It’s great to announce this partnership with Hytera Communications - an industry leader in mobile radio communications. Not only is this a great association between brands, it also provides significant benefit to our teams for the coming season,” said Sakzewski.

“Prior to confirming the partnership, Porsche extensively tested the radios with one of our existing Carrera Cup teams with immensely positive results. The team suggested it was communicating more often due to the improved clarity of radio transmissions with the Hytera units, which is obviously beneficial for our teams and drivers. We warmly welcome Hytera as a new Series Partner and look forward to using their products across the 2017 season.”

Meanwhile, Hytera Communications Managing Director, Terry Feng, believes the new partnership is perfect for the leading radio communications brand.

“With vast experience in the industry, Hytera has become a leader in radio communications and we are thrilled to bring these technologies to the race track with Porsche Carrera Cup Australia,” said Mr Feng.

“Hytera understands the crucial link in motor racing between a team and its driver and we look forward to bringing industry leading products to Carrera Cup in 2017 to provide the best possible communication pathway from pit lane to the race track. Our products are perfectly suited for motor racing communications and we are eager to demonstrate this in the Carrera Cup championship in 2017.”
