NSW Telco Authority exchanges ideas with UK Government on LTE Public Safety

The NSW Telco Authority is responsible for the overall coordination of radio telecommunication services for the NSW Government.

Committed to looking after the future of operational telecommunications, Telco Authority Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) recently met with the CTO of the UK Government, where they discussed the direction of the telecommunications sector for both their nations.

The UK CTO gave the Authority an insightful overview of the UK Government’s approach to technology, as well as a briefing on the country’s imminent transition to an LTE environment for public safety communications. This important working relationship, based on the sharing of knowledge, information and ideas, is a valuable tool for both agencies as they take on the challenges of the future.
