Penton Introduces IWCE's Critical LTE Communications Forum
New business technology conference focused on mission-critical LTE network solutions and applications for public safety, government, critical infrastructure and enterprise professionals.
Penton today introduced IWCE's Critical LTE Communications Forum, a new business technology conference focused on mission-critical LTE network solutions. The Forum will debut November 2-3, 2016 at the McCormick Place in Chicago in tandem with Penton’s IoT Emerge.
The need to provide reliable broadband communications for emergency services and critical infrastructure is vital. LTE delivers the enriched multimedia tools and applications demanded by both constituents and meets the needs of these critical communications systems.
IWCE's Critical LTE Communications Forum is targeted to solutions vendors and carriers as well as enterprise, utilities and other critical infrastructure, government and public safety professionals. The conference will examine the network solutions, applications and opportunities for enterprises and governments to transition to secure, reliable networks for voice and data within an LTE framework.
IWCE's Critical LTE Communications Forum will offer keynotes, speakers and case studies from early pilot programs of public safety agencies implementing broadband wireless networks and services. Topics to be covered include: case studies from major cities including Chicago’s LTE project, transitioning from LMR to LTE, voice over LTE, software solutions and video and other emerging applications.
“At IWCE 2016 in March and most recently via a webinar we found that LTE sessions are exceptionally popular. We created this new in-person Forum due to the growing demand for education on the topic of critical LTE,” said Stephanie McCall, Show Director, Penton’s IWCE. “LTE is transforming the way first responders, utilities and transportation professionals interact with citizens, address incidents and help ensure our communities are safer and thriving. We are looking forward to working closely with the Smart Gig Media team to develop a strong program that will continue to educate key stakeholders map the transition from voice-centric mobile communications to broadband data and video applications through LTE.”
“Whether your business is focused on public safety, energy transmission and distribution, transportation communications or other industrial wireless network, the Critical LTE Communications Forum brings together professionals in public safety together with enterprise to map the LMR to LTE transition,” said Timothy Downs, Content Director, Critical LTE Communications.
