Genaker enters the Phillipines Market with Vanguard PTT Technology in Collaboration with PLDT
Genaker, the Spanish professional mobile crucial communications company present in more than 15 countries, enters the Philippines’ market with the collaboration of PLDT, the incumbent telecommunications operator in the country.
PLDT has integrated the voice service of Genaker PTT, based on IP technology, with a service for professional communications which gives support to the coordination and communication between incident centres and public security and emergency teams in towns in The Philippines.
The service, called SOS Dispatch, is considered to be vital for communication for public service and emergency groups of professionals in The Philippines. Progress in mobile communications and the use of 4G networks and IP technologies in the working day of these teams is a big step towards the digital transformation of the country.
On 30th January SOS Dispatch was launched to the media in an event attended by top executives from the local management and VIPs from the sector.
Present at the event were the directors of PLDT, Victor y Tría, Chairman and Director of Corporate and Public Affairs, Joyy I. Hernández, 1st Vice President and head of the group, Joseph Ian G. Gendrano, Vice President and Director of Corporate and Public Affairs, all of whom were accompanied by the team from Genaker which has been established in the country to give support to the service they provide.
Today, the Genaker PTT technology is already being used by various public security and emergency teams in different towns in the country. From now until 2019 it will become available in approximately 1.500 towns.
