Bitea Launches TETRA/4G Coverage & Voice Quality Testing using POLQA Algorithms
The equipment provides coverage & voice quality testing using POLQA algorithms and permits users of the complete NC7000 system to compare coverage and voice quality of 4G and TETRA radio networks.
As part of the BiTEA NC7000 series of equipment for radio network coverage and voice quality testing Bitea has launched a commercial 4G coverage and voice quality test tool which will work with PTT systems scoring the voice quality using the ITU approved POLQA algorithms. This product was first released in August 2017 to compliment the NC7000 TETRA Tools.
The NC7000 4G system uses a bespoke BiTEA App which can be loaded on to 4G smart phones turning the phones into 4G network probes. This equipment provides coverage and voice quality testing using POLQA and most importantly permits users of the complete NC7000 system to compare coverage and voice quality of 4G and TETRA radio networks.
BiTEA is now able to offer PESQ and POLQA algorithms for scoring voice quality with all NC7000 products for use with TETRA. 4G and other radio and voice circuits.
