Airbus Makes its Entrance into the European Police Congress 2018
Airbus showcases its latest developments of mission-critical communications technology at the 21st European Police Congress in Berlin on the 6th and 7th February 2018.
Europe’s leader in secure communications will present itself with a new scheme for the next-generation transmission systems for public safety organisations.
“Communication is at the heart of police officers’ daily work. During this congress, we will make clear the potentials of our current and future Tetra technology for the police in Europe”, says Michael Hermann Wolf, Sales Director for Germany of Secure Land Communications at Airbus. “Resilient and secure communication platforms contribute to successful preventive and efficient police work.”
Michael Hermann Wolf will present a paper at one of the congress’ panel sessions on how mission-critical communication tools from Airbus will develop in the coming years. Airbus is the provider of many nationwide Tetra and Tetrapol networks in Europe, which are extensively used by police forces.
On the Airbus booth in the venue “Berlin Congress Center” the latest Tetra Taira Server and the Tactilon Dabat will be on display. The former is a virtualised server which can replace conventional Tetra switches. It allows a smooth migration to IP technology and state-of-the-art broadband services. The Tactilon Dabat is the first device in the world combining both a Tetra radio and an Android smartphone. It enables the police to process multimedia communication.
The European Police Congress hosts top representatives in the field of politics, police forces and suppliers from all over Europe and is the largest conference of its kind on the continent. Each year, around 1,500 experts from 20 countries gather in Berlin and discuss the latest security challenges on 25 panels.
