Airbus Keeps SLC Devision and Invests in the Future of Mission-Critical Communication
After four years, Airbus has decided not to sell its Secure Land Communications subsidiary.
In a journalist briefing, Oliver Koczan, head of Secure Land Communications (SLC) at Airbus told journalists that the Airbus Group had made this decision last week because of the digitization strategy of the group and the fact that over the last few years the SLC organization has made a valuable contributing to the Airbus Group.
Koczan said: "The divestment process that was initiated four years ago is stopped, and there is no more intention for the Airbus Group to continue to sell the SLC division.”
On the question if there was any interest showin to buy the SLC orgaization he continued: “In the course of the divestment process, there were some discussions with potential buyers, especially at the beginning of the process, but this had fully stopped.”
During the call it has also been made clear that the Airbus group will keep investing in the Secure Land Communications business.
