After repeatedly postponing the deadline bids for the purchase of DMR Tier II digital radio equipment for the Polish police on 2nd June the tender "Supply of DMR standard communication equipment under a framework agreement (6 / BŁiI / 20 / RG)" was closed. The decision of the procedure was repeatedly postponed due to the large number of questions and rectifications of the requirements. In addition, COVERTECH protested against the requirement to certify the Bluetooth 4.0 module by the SIG organization. The total amount that the Police intends to spend for this project is about 38 Million Euro. This is a very large budget that will allow the Police to digitize radio communications throughout the whole of Poland. One of the requirements was the possibility of masking correspondence using the ARC4 algorithm with a minimum key length of 40 bits in order to "kill" eavesdrop on police correspondence. T

Five companies entered the tender, of which three companies (Aksel, Altran and DGT) are distributors Motorola Solutions, RTcom (Hytera distributor) and a consortium of T4B and Covertech (Excera distributor). All bidders proposed a 60-month warranty period, as well as a delivery period and payment terms in accordance with the ToR. The contracting authority initially intended to select three contractors with whom a framework contract would be concluded - valid for a period of 4 years. This entry has been changed to eight bidders.
