SmartPTT introduces new Mobile PoC application

SmartPTT yesterday announced the new SmartPTT Mobile application. The application is available for download in the Google Store and the App Store. The new mobile application is based on PoC (PTT-over-cellular) technology and enables communications between smartphone users and other SmartPTT subscribers via LTE, 4G, or Wi-Fi. SmartPTT Mobile supports group and private calls via a secure SSL channel and subscribers statuses. The updated SmartPTT Mobile application can be installed on any smartphone that meets the system requirements. It transforms a smartphone into a radio client with the ability to make a call with a single button press. PoC technology is a cost-saving way to build communication networks between your employees or quickly include new users into an existing DMR network without purchasing new equipment. For example, it is easy and cost-effective to organize emergency communications for employees who don’t need it permanently but may need it during an emergency.

With the new PoC application, managers will always be able to connect with employees working both in the office and in the field. The manager will be able to call individual subscribers or groups even on a business trip. With access to Wi-Fi, 4G, or LTE, his or her phone will provide access to other subscribers in the PoC or DMR network.
