Transport for London (TfL) announced the 'go live' of the Transport for London new Push To Talk over Cellular (PoC) service for their Bus Operators. This is one of the most complex integrations seen of a Push To Talk over Cellular service to date, and is fully interoperable with TfL's existing Surface DMR network (already the largest Private Mobile Radio network in Europe). In addition to the existing 75 iBus Control Centres, from last week Friday, On Street Controllers and Garage Engineers can now talk to 9,500 Buses directly from the road side using their smart phones.

Transport for London also enabled the ability for these users to consolidate the number of devices they need to carry, by placing their radio on the same smart device as their other core apps.
