Dispute grows about tender for Tetra network upgrade in Poland

Recently we reported that Poland's Chief Police Office signed a contract on the deployment of a Tetra network with Motorola. The contract was signed without waiting for a formal tender finalisation. Because of that, companies that participated in the tender (worth PLN 300 million) will now submit appeals, asking for the deal to be annulled, or for fines to get imposed.

The Tetra network will be upgraded in 13 cities and the Tetra ETSI standard introduced.
