Harris corporation’s EWeek celebrates contributions of engineers
Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) employees across the country this week are celebrating National Engineers Week (EWeek) by participating in more than 80 events focused on innovation and engaging the next generation of engineers. The celebration is part of a national event organized by the National Society of Professional Engineers.
Harris EWeek recognizes and celebrates the many achievements of the company’s nearly 8,000 engineers and scientists – who make up more than 45 percent of the company’s overall employment. Harris employees will use their technical expertise to compete in fun and friendly team challenges, such as guiding quadcopters through an obstacle course, building strong yet lightweight balsa bridges and flying gliders the furthest without breaking egg payloads.
