SAGA Telecom celebrates 25 years in building TETRA, P25 and DMR radio systems

SAGA Telecom, Russian distributor of Motorola Solutions and system integrator, is 25 years old (established in July, 1991). Over the last 25 years, SAGA has developed and delivered professional mobile communication systems for companies in transportation, and in the fuel and energy, metallurgical and mining industries in Russia. One of the main project for the company was the prestigious SAKHALIN-1 PROJECT were the company in partnership with Exxon Neftegas Limited (ENL) deployed an extensive, TETRA-based communication system for the Sakhalin-1 Project on Sakhalin Island. Sakhalin-1 is one of the largest foreign investment projects in Russia, with investment over the life of the project expected to reach $US 12 billion. The purpose of Sakhalin-1 is to develop the oil and natural gas reserves of the Chayvo oil field, which is about 30 kilometers off the northeast shore of Sakhalin Island. The communication network that links the project’s three main sites provides the reliable, effective communications that are vital to the coordination of such a project. Over the years, the company have gained tremendous experience in solving difficult tasks of building radio systems of varying degrees of complexity of DMR, TETRA and APCO25 standards.

SAGA Telecom has recently been awarded a Platinum Partner Status by Motorola Solutions for Mototrbo equipment and solutions, as well as TETRA and APCO25 systems in the PartnerEmpower™ program.
