Military HF gaining ground in France, Germany and Spain

According to an analysis by authoritative defence media outlet, Jane’s, military HF systems are experiencing a resurgence thanks to concerns about the denial or degrading of other communications modes in times of conflict. It now seems that a number of NATO countries are looking to HF help them counter Russian electronic and cyber capabilities.

The analysis cites as an example a recent French military call for communications capabilities that would enable long-range connectivity across Africa.
