X5 Pagers

Infostream manufactures a range of state-of-the-art colour pagers, called the X5  range.  Although the units in the range share many of the same electronics and the same basic housing, they have been specialized for particular purposes. 

The X5-s is the base model.  The X5-w is similar, but has the added features of being waterproof and spray proof, and has an extended warranty program  to maintain its sealing integrity.  The X5-i is the intrinsically safe version, designed for use in hazardous environments. In the near future, Infostream will be releasing the X5-r pager version, which will add a long range back channel communication capability to the X5-w.  There are a set of common accessories available, including plastic holsters, leather holsters and software development kits.

Communication Systems

Infostream manufactures and supplies the key components necessary for a complete paging communications network. This includes the Paging Terminal, the Simulcast Network Encoder, and also for each transmitter and base station site, the Base Station Controller and associated Transmitter Controller.

VIPER

VIPER is a state-of-the-art Paging Terminal especially designed for the exacting requirements of a high reliability emergency services system. VIPER manage the transmission of messages through a paging network, and supports both standard FLEX and POCSAG protocols. Essentially VIPER acts as a communications switch, marshalling, queuing and encoding message streams to a large number of devices through a large set of transceiver sites.

Cypher Paging Encoder and Base Station

Infostream’s Cypher Paging Encoder and Base Station system has been engineered to meet paging system infrastructure requirements ranging from low cost, low-power single site (hospital, factory etc) paging systems to high availability multi-site (regional, state or national) systems.

The elegant, modular and flexible structure of the Cypher system allows you to integrate your own paging terminal, transmitters and distribution network technology into the solution - or  Infostream can supply a complete solution as an integrated package.
