TetraNode Access networks
The market requires new functions such as interference detection, and hardware platforms may have to be upgraded to allow for new TETRA services. With our Base Station Systems there is no need for concern. They are predictably solid and cutting-edge in design.
Excellence translated into cost benefits
The superior RF performance of our Base Station Systems and their protection against high signal interference offer unmatched coverage and quality of service. This allows for deployment of less Base Station Systems, reducing initial and recurring site acquisition costs. But there are more implicit cost benefits. Thanks to their modular design, our Base Station Sites can be deployed economically for virtually any Base Station System application with minimal installation costs. Last but not least, the power-efficient design of the components reduces power consumption and heat dissipation. This results in a significant reduction of operational expenditure. In addition, the wide temperature range and low power consumption potentially eliminate the need for cooling systems, or at least reduce overall power consumption for site installations. The OPEX, CAPEX and environmental savings achieved with the design of our Base Station Systems have earned us the Green TETRA award!
Redundancy translated into maximum availability
If the transmission link to the TetraNode eXchange fails, our Fallback Site Controller provides basic TETRA functionality, allowing continuous operation. The redundant transmission link capability, in turn, ensures the highest possible availability of the entire system. Thanks to the full set of redundancy features, our Base Station Systems do what they are meant to do. Always! Even if failures are outside your range of influence. Standard features of our Base Station Systems include best-of-class receiver sensitivity, high output power, two to three way diversity and support of all frequency ranges commonly used for TETRA worldwide.
Our two-carrier Bases Station System BSS2 is what it is; a compact, stand-alone base station system. Capacity can grow as needed, from one to two transceivers, enabling seven simultaneous calls on one site. Bigger in size but space-efficient nonetheless, our four-carrier Base Station System BSS4 can include up to four transceivers. Need more capacity? Multiple BSS4 racks can be combined to offer a capacity of up to sixteen transceivers, enabling 63 simultaneous calls on one site.
