Pro-M Prepares for the Future of Critical Communications in Hungary
Pro-M Zrt., the Hungarian governmental communications provider of users of public protection and disaster relief, recently hosted the Professional Telecommunications Day (EDR DAY) professional conference and exhibition for the 12th time on 31 October 2019
The quality of the event, which keeps increasing year by year, the presentations of foreign public protection and disaster relief service providers, the constant monitoring of the directions of development of PPDR systems and outstanding attendance all parties proved that this event was a huge success.
In recent years Pro-M Zrt. has expanded and continuously strengthened its international relations as evidenced by its presence in four international organizations. Taking into account the strategy of the Hungarian Government and the endeavors of the Ministry of the Interior, Pro-M Zrt. is increasingly is involved in providing critical infrastructures such as TETRA, to ensure the safety of citizens, beyond the primary function of providing communication services for emergency response agencies.
To this end, Pro-M Zrt. has prepared its medium-term strategic plan for the period 2019-25, in which the service provider with dedicated rights outlines the social and law enforcement benefits of broadband data transmission in a future-proof manner.
This year's EDR Day featured organizations that play a key role in maintaining the safety of society and public safety.
During the EDR Day, Pro-M also emphasized the support provided for public transport in the Hungarian capital, i.e. provision of the subway lines of BKV as well as the teh support to Magyar Közút, responsible for the operation and maintenance of nearly 32 000 km of national roads.
In addition to domestic PDDR users, critically important industrial system operators, hazardous plants also communicate on the EDR network.
