PMRExpo is once again offering expert forums on various areas of interest. These take place in the Connecting Area in the middle of the exhibition hall and are thus accessible to all trade visitors.

In four weeks, the doors to Hall 10.2 in the Congress Centre East of Koelnmesse will open to visitors to the international trade fair PMRExpo. The 22nd edition of Europe’s leading trade fair for all areas related to Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) – i.e. professional mobile communications – will take place this year from 22 to 24 November. The target group is experts from public authorities and organisations with safety tasks (BOS) as well as from the energy industry and the relevant industry. The exciting mix of lectures, specialist forums and the actual exhibition makes this event particularly interesting for the different groups of trade visitors.

As Europe’s leading trade fair for secure communication, PMRExpo 2022 offers an attractive platform for companies in the fields of telecommunications, application solutions, control center and security technology, infrastructure elements, transportation and traffic, vehicle equipment, device accessories and relevant services for all aspects of security-critical communication and property radio.

PMRExpo is once again offering expert forums on various areas of interest. These take place in the Connecting Area in the middle of the exhibition hall and are thus accessible to all trade visitors. For the first time, the Defence & Security Forum will deal with current issues relating to internal security and in particular with the question of how the civil defense in Germany, which has been neglected for many decades, is prepared for current threats. In addition to an “assessment of the situation”, well-known speakers provide initial solutions.

The Energy Forum is dedicated to issues of energy suppliers and grid operators. The focus is on the digitization of supply networks, the use of technologies as the basis for a smart city, and the challenges of secure communication in the energy industry.

Hosted by the DMR Association, the DMR Workshop provides an overview of the DMR-ETSI standards, outlines the process for the ongoing development of standards, and discusses important changes and new features that have been introduced.

On the last day, a forum will focus on the telemedicine system – here on the example of the Free State of Bavaria – and thus digitalization in emergency services.

As part of the conference program – the Summit – two comprehensive lecture blocks with different focus are available to trade visitors every day:

Tuesday, 22nd November 2022:
- Technological Change, Digitization and Networking: New Era or "Business As Usual" - Broadband for industry & KRITIS - rethink the implementation!

Wednesday, 23rd November 2022:
- Proceeding resilient MC broadband services - Cybersecurity

Thursday, 24th November 2022:
- The new control centers - smart & efficient
- Hands on! Practice examples from the control centers

High-ranking keynote speeches form the cornerstones of the first two days. North Rhine- Westphalia’s Interior Minister Herbert Reul will traditionally open the PMRExpo and focus on current issues from his state. At the start of the second day of the trade fair, Andreas Gegenfurtner, President of the Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio (BDBOS), will speak about current issues related to radio technology for the “blue light organisations.”

New this year is the “Meet the Speaker” format; where at the end of each session there is the opportunity to talk directly with the speakers. In the Speakers’ Lounge, interested parties can deepen details, exchange experiences and discuss solutions in a relaxed atmosphere.

In the Ticket Shop, you can book one-day or three-day tickets at www.pmrexpo.de. These are offered separately for the “Show” – i.e. the exhibition area – as well as combined tickets for visiting the exhibition and participating in the Summit. In addition, you can sign up for the live stream on all three days.

The show, with 180 expected exhibitors, is open daily from 9 a.m. It closes at 6 p.m. on the first two days and at 3.30 p.m. on the final day. Detailed information for trade visitors and potential exhibitors can be found at www.pmrexpo.de.
