Airbus Partners with POST Luxembourg to Provide Agnet to Critical Communications Market in Luxembourg

Airbus signed a partnership with POST Luxembourg – Luxembourg’s largest fixed and mobile network operator - to introduce its Agnet MCx critical communication and collaboration solution to the Luxembourg market.

Thanks to this agreement, Airbus’ Agnet MCx will be made available to POST Luxembourg critical communications customers for use on their 5G network. In other words, public safety and governmental organisations, as well as communal administrations and private companies will be able to benefit from secure communications and multimedia capabilities on POST Luxembourg’s 5G network. 

Agnet MCx provides mission critical push-to-talk, secure instant messaging, video streaming/sharing and location services, allowing end user organisations to improve their real-time understanding of what is happening in the field. Situational Awareness enables timely and informed decision making, empowering teams to communicate the right information to the right people at the right time, improving their collaboration and effectiveness in the field.

Cliff Konsbruck, Deputy managing director of POST Luxembourg and Director of POST Telecom stated: “As leading national telecom operator, POST Luxembourg is entering a strategic partnership with a European industry flagship, the common goal being to bring value creation to the Luxembourg market. POST has invested high efforts into the deployment of its new generation 5G mobile network, which now covers 96% of the Grand-Duchy. Airbus’ Agnet MCx solution integrates with POST Luxembourg’s core network while taking advantage of specific 5G features such as slicing, so that network capacity can be allocated and guaranteed to mission critical communications.”

The partnership was formalized at a signing ceremony between both companies at the POST Luxembourg’s Headquarters, in presence of the Luxembourg Minister of the Economy, Franz Fayot.
