Cassidian’s TETRA system provided stable, reliable and efficient communication services for the security of the Boao Forum for Asia 2012 (BFA 2012), which took place in Qionghai, Hainan province, China on 1-3 April. The influential BFA Forum attracted 1500 participants from various countries and regions, including state leaders and ministry-level officials, economists, representatives of multiple international organisations and industries, entrepreneurs and international journalists.

The Cassidian TETRA radiocommunication system in Hainan province is the first of its kind in the region and covers the whole Qionghai area. The 350MHz TETRA system is equipped with the DXT3 switch and TB3s. Thanks to the impeccable communication over this radiocommunication system, the Qionghai Police was able to secure the event successfully.

“Our success in providing the TETRA system and securing the Boao Forum for Asia 2012 is a good start, and indicates further trustful cooperation with Hainan Police,” says Galvin Wong, CEO APAC of Secure Communication Solutions at Cassidian. “We are working on providing our high-quality TETRA equipment and services for professional users.”
