The partnership dates back to 2006, when National Wireless was chosen by Sepura as its distributor for Australia and began to switch its efforts from analogue solutions to TETRA, making custom system implementation its area of expertise.

Sepura has appointed National Wireless as its dedicated distributor of network infrastructure products in Australia and New Zealand.

The move follows the 2012 acquisition of Austrian TETRA infrastructure supplier 3T Communications, and cements Sepura’s status as a provider of complete critical communications solutions.

The partnership dates back to 2006, when National Wireless was chosen by Sepura as its distributor for Australia and began to switch its efforts from analogue solutions to TETRA, making custom system implementation its area of expertise.

Since then, National Wireless has gone on to deliver and implement a wide variety of TETRA systems and networks across Australia, for sectors as diverse as mining, defence, power generation and higher education.

“We have enjoyed substantial growth in Australia and New Zealand as users have become increasingly aware of the benefits of TETRA technology,” said Terence Ledger, Sepura’s Regional Director for Asia Pacific.

“The expansion of our partnership with National Wireless exploits each company’s area of expertise and is a logical step both for the local market and for Sepura as providers of complete communications solutions.”

“This progression is the perfect way to mark our 20th birthday,” added Peter Beurle, Managing Director for National Wireless.

“It not only confirms our shift from analogue to digital, but enables us to offer a true, end-to-end TETRA communications solution to our customers. Here’s to the next 20 years!”
