KPN Critical Communications and Motorola have agreed with Entropia Digital on the supply, installation and maintenance of a nationwide TETRA radio communications network in the Netherlands. The network will consist of Motorola hardware and software based on its latest IP technology, Dimetra 8.2. On 26 June this year the contract has been confirmed for the next 10 years. Entropia Digital will offer in Netherlands a subscription-based all-inclusive flat fee rate for offering radio communications services. Both voice and data communications for the B2B market, such as public transport, utilities, hospitals, port and industry, transport, (petro) chemical, events and security will be offered.

Philip Vercruysse, CEO of Entropia Digital BV:
"reliability, availability and expertise has been crucial for us to choose for KPN Critical Communications and Motorola. We are now able to fully unburden our customers. By the end of 2013, all redundant switches, including the first 100 antenna masts, will be re-built. In the first half of 2014 there will be installed another 100 masts. The old Dimetra 5.2 Tetra network will be fully replaced by the new "state-of-the-art" Dimetra 8.2 network. In this way Entropia speed up its nationwide rollout plan significantly. Entropia will also offer broadband IP links to the control rooms and Combus, the controlroom room flagship of Entropia, will be integrated in the new network. "

Dennis Gooijer, KPN Critical Communications:"this agreement fits ideally to our ambition to grow in the field of Mission Critical Communications where we can build on the quality that we have delivered in recent years. We are proud that we can support the Entropia Digital in realising their ambitions."
