Łódź Police is communicating on a new TETRA system
The police in Łódź, Poland is currently communicating on a TETRA system that was provided by RadioPartners
The "Modernization of the TETRA system“ project was meant to serve and increase the efficiency of the emergency services in the Łódź agglomeration” as well as to introduce, new services and reducing spending on maintenance.
The tender was won by the company RadioPartners from Warsaw. 85% of the project value was covered by the European Regional Development Fund, and the remaining 15% of funds from the state budget.
As part of the project, the 13-year-old infrastructure Dimetra IP Motorola system has been replaced by Sepura infrastructure (currently Dimetra not been removed). One of the priorities of the project was the development of the network resource and to enable other emergency services using the TETRA system.
It is assumed that the network will be introduced to new public entities, and other emergency services such as the Fire Brigade, Ambulance, Provincial Crisis Management Center. The Łódź Municipal Police will get the opportunity to work with 110 TETRA radios.
